Thamma is looking to collect around Rs. 1.40 crore to Rs. Earned 1.50 crores on third Wednesday, taking the total earning to Rs. Earning Rs 117.65 crore at the Indian box office. The vampire comedy drama starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is likely to wrap up this week at Rs. 118 crore nett. This will impact Rs. 120 crore nett mark in the coming weekend, after which it will head towards the theatrical release of MHCU’s flagship film, Stree’s Lifetime.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma is expected to surpass Stree to become the second highest-grossing film in Maddock Films’ horror comedy universe. The film will clash with Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam starrer HAQ in theaters this weekend. If the upcoming courtroom drama receives a positive response, it will impact Thamma and other holdover releases.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s film is expected to collect Rs 10 crore. 135–140 crores by the end of its theatrical run. These numbers are fine when Thamma is viewed as a standalone venture; However, considering its brand and IP, it needs a lot of improvement.
