After four seasons that brought together film personalities and audiences of all ages, The Great Indian Kapil Show is set to return with a new season that expands the comedy universe into what the makers describe as an “excellent variety” of humour, interactions and unscripted moments. Led by Kapil Sharma, the show blends celebrity interviews with sketch comedy, improvisation and audience interaction, a format that is planned to be continued with new energy in the upcoming season.

Season 5 is directed and creatively produced by Anukalp Goswami and produced by Kapil Sharma. The show is produced by Akshit Lahoria and Gurjot Singh under K9 Films Pvt Ltd and BeingYou Studios Pvt Ltd, with Soul Production LLP as co-producer. Kamana Menezes and Fazila Allana serve as co-producers. The returning cast includes Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda.
Along with comedy, Netflix is also highlighting crime drama Taskery: The Smugglers’ Web, which is now streaming on the platform. Set in the high-pressure environment of airport customs, the series follows the story of Superintendent Arjun Meena, a distinguished officer who leads an elite task force tasked with curbing the rise in contraband smuggling. The team’s mission focuses on dismantling a global smuggling syndicate led by notorious kingpin Bada Chaudhary, placing him at the center of a high-risk national security operation.
Reflecting on the reception of the show, the team behind Taskery: The Smuggler’s Web shared, “Taskery marked the beginning of the year for us, and the tremendous love it has received from audiences not only in India but globally has been truly rewarding. The series is created by Neeraj Pandey, who also directs along with Raghav M Jayarath and BA Fida, and produced by Friday Storytellers. The cast includes Sharad Kelkar, Amrita Khavilkar, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Anurag Sinha and Zoya Afroz with Emraan Hashmi as Arjun Meena.
