In what is called the biggest acquisition of all time for a book, Legendary bought cinematographic rights to the novel by Senlinyu, Alchemis, for 3 million USD. The seven -digit purchase is an undeniable offer to the author of the book and is supposed to dissuade all competitors from trying to win the victory. In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter, Senlinyu spoke of the acquisition: “I am honored by Legendary’s incredible enthusiasm for the project and I can’t wait to see Paladia’s world come to life.”

The original fan-fic, Alchemis, followed a prohibited love story between Hermione Granger de Gryffindor (Emma Watson) and Draco Malfoy de Slytherin (Tom Felton), but we do not know how much the JK Rowling characters would be continued or prosecuted in the adaptation of the film. It is unlikely that many similarities between the two fictitious worlds will continue due to copyright problems in question.
ALCHEMIZED is based in the Dramon side of the world of Harry Potter fan-fiction which follows the aces of the two opposing houses of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He reaches their improbable arc of love and was first shared on non -commercial archives “created by fans, non -profit and non -commercial” (archive of our own).
The agreement concluded for Alchemis is supposed to be the greatest of all time for the cinematographic rights of a new book, not to mention the inflation rates. He will probably establish a precedent for his successors as more and more versions and adaptations of new films become the norm.
The other popular works AO3 of Senlinyu include a fan of Tale Fic from Harry Potter X called a penguin with more than 10 million views and another Star Wars work that followed Ben Solo (Kylo Ren) and Rey. They will join many popular fan fictions adapted to films like Fifty Shades of Gray, After Series, and more, which have collected millions of views around the world.
