Va Vaathiyar starring Karthi in the lead role was all set to release in theaters on December 12, 2025. However, it appears that just a day before the film was to hit the big screens, the makers decided to postpone it.
Has Karthi’s Va Vaathiyar been postponed?
According to a report in Let’s Cinema, Va Vaathiyar has indeed been postponed by the makers. A court order has reportedly been issued in the name of KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green due to an unresolved loan.
According to another report, the court’s decision is based on the outstanding loan of Rs. Which has increased to Rs 10.35 crore with accumulated interest. 21.78 crores. This amount was reportedly borrowed by Gnanavel from a businessman.
Due to unresolved debts, the court has put a stay on the film’s release, and a new release date is yet to be announced.
Although the makers have not given any official update, the social media handles of the production house recently shared a promo without mentioning the release date. The new promo simply says that the film will “release soon.”
