Director Vignesh Shivan surprised his wife, actor Nayanthara on her 41st birthday by gifting her a Rolls-Royce Black Badge Specter worth around Rs 10 crore. Pictures of the luxury car and family celebration quickly gained attention on social media.
Shivan shared pictures of Nayanthara and her family with the newly purchased car. She wrote, “Truly love you, madly, deeply my azhagi love you. On behalf of your uir, ulaag, big uir, all your beloved ones. Thank you to the universe and God Almighty for always blessing us with the best of moments with an overwhelmed heart and a love filled life… filled only with abundant love, unwavering positivity and pure goodwill.”
A luxury birthday surprise for Nayanthara
One of the most premium electric luxury cars, the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Spectre, became the highlight of Nayanthara’s birthday. The actor decided to celebrate the day quietly with her family, even though she is juggling a busy film lineup across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema.
This is not the first time that Vignesh Shivan has celebrated his birthday with an extravagant gift. His tradition of gifting luxury cars started in 2023, when he surprised her by gifting her a Mercedes Maybach worth around Rs 3 crore. In 2024, he then bought a Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS 600, which was worth Rs 5 crore, according to India Today. This year’s Rolls-Royce Specter is now the most expensive in the series.
The filmmaker and actor, who married in 2022 after years of dating, are known to celebrate personal milestones with family and heartfelt gestures. Shivan’s gifts often make headlines, drawing attention for their value and the couple’s bond. New Rolls-Royce pictures have once again sparked discussion online about his love for premium cars.
What’s next for Nayanthara?
Despite her personal celebrations, Nayanthara remains active with several major projects. He has several titled upcoming films in Tamil and Malayalam with Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Yash.
His current slate includes Dear Student, Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, Mannangatti Since 1960, Patriot, Mookuthi Amman 2, Hi, and Rakkai. Many of these films are in various stages of production, placing him among the busiest actors in South India.
