According to a report in Mid-Day, the makers of Spirit are in discussions to end the film with an open ending while keeping the possibility of a sequel intact.
A source told the publication that the makers are planning to create a world centered on Prabhas’ police character. They are reportedly considering the idea of ending the first part on a cliffhanger to keep the audience curious about what’s going to happen next.
The source further revealed that a look test has already been conducted and the makers have finalized two different avatars for the Salaar actor. Reportedly, the shooting of the film is scheduled to begin in February 2026 after the release of Prabhas’s The Raja Saab.
There is speculation that the team will begin filming in Mumbai before moving to international locations like Mexico, Indonesia and Thailand. A flashback sequence is also said to be planned, which will likely be shot during the Mumbai schedule.
However, these news have not yet been officially confirmed by the makers.

In the film, the Baahubali actor plays a carefree youth who hopes to make a fortune by selling his late grandfather’s mansion. However, things take an unexpected turn when her grandfather’s spirit begins to haunt the estate, triggering a series of comical and chaotic events.
Apart from Prabhas, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and others in lead roles.
Apart from this, the actor also has several other films in the pipeline, including Prabhasahanu (tentatively titled Fauji), Salaar 2 and Kalki 2898 AD Part 2.
