The latest update on the ongoing schedule of the film reveals that Yash is currently shooting important portions as Ravana at Film City in Goregaon, Mumbai. According to reports, the production team has recreated the Mithila kingdom on an elaborate set featuring palace courtyards, royal balconies, floral floor decorations and large-scale traditional details. Hundreds of junior actors have reportedly been brought in to increase the scale of the sequence.

The current event is believed to focus on one of the key moments of the epic, where Ravana arrives at Sita’s swayamvara and Shiva attempts to lift the bow. This sequence is expected to establish the character’s aura and strength early in the story.

A report in Mid-Day quoted a source close to the production as saying, “The current portion focuses on the dramatic tension of Ravana arriving at the swayamvara sabha and picking up the bow. Yash has a commanding entry in the sequence. The energy of the crowd changes as Ravana enters the court. A lot of effort has been put into creating that aura visually.”

The report also states that Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita in the film, is expected to join the shooting later. While the makers have been avoiding revealing extensive details related to the production, periodic updates from the sets have continued to create anticipation among the audience.

Apart from Yash and Sai Pallavi, the film’s cast includes many prominent names from various industries, making it one of the most ambitious pan-India projects currently in development. The scale of production, combined with the popularity of the source material, has determined the Ramayana As one of the most anticipated theatrical releases in recent years.
