Sharing her thoughts on the project and her character, Neha Dhupia said, “52 blue This has been one of the most deeply inspiring and transformative experiences of my career. When I first read the script, the thing that stayed with me was the quiet strength of the mother, she doesn’t speak out loud, but her presence shapes her son’s entire world. Playing the role of a young man’s mother for the first time was challenging and incredibly gratifying, because it required me to understand emotions that were raw, instinctive, and deeply human.”
Neha adds, “The humiliating aspect of the role was never a concern for me; in fact, it was liberating. It allowed me to completely shed all layers of vanity and immerse myself completely in this woman’s life – her silence, her resilience and her unconditional love. There is something very powerful in portraying a character who finds strength in vulnerability.”
Neha adds, “Working with Ali El Arbi has been a revelation. His storytelling style is so honest and rooted, and he creates an environment where you feel completely safe to explore and push your boundaries. Shooting in such a unique and intimate setting in Kochi added a lot of authenticity to the film. At its core, 52 blue It’s a story about dreams, about being free, and about invisible forces like a mother’s faith that shape who we become. I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of a film that is so universal in its sentiments but so personal in its storytelling. I believe this is a story that will resonate with audiences across cultures and borders.”
