Actor Ronit Roy has issued a strong public warning after it was discovered that an unknown person was allegedly misusing his identity online to contact people, especially women, and ask for money. The actor alerted fans and followers about the scam on social media, also sharing screenshots and details of the alleged fraudster.

In a detailed note posted online, Ronit Roy revealed that the person was allegedly reaching out to people using his name and was even attempting to take bookings fraudulently. Sharing details about the accounts involved, the actor wrote, “WARNING!!!! It has come to my notice that someone is using my name and reaching out to people, especially girls, and asking for money. This person is trying to take bookings in my name. The number involved is a Jangi number 3318085685. The email ID being used is [email protected]. Everyone be careful. As far as the culprit is concerned Is… “The police are coming for you”.
The actor further clarified that neither he nor his official representatives will ever personally contact people for money or personal gain. Emphasizing the importance of caution on social media platforms, Ronit said, “Please note that I will never contact women through social networks or any other means. Obviously I will never ask for money from anyone. If you all come across someone like this, please bring it to my attention immediately.”
Along with the statement, Ronit Roy also shared a series of screenshots which showed fake conversations allegedly being conducted in his name. These included close-up images of phone numbers, WhatsApp chats, Facebook messages and other communication attempts that were allegedly used by the scammer to contact women online.
Captioning the post, the actor once again urged people to remain vigilant against such fraudulent activities that misuse celebrity identities to exploit unknown individuals. He wrote, “Be very careful of people using celebrities’ identities to fool people and take advantage of them. If you come across such cases it is always a good idea to bring it to the attention of the celebrities. I or my representatives would never reach out for money or any such favors.”
Online impersonation scams are becoming increasingly common, with several celebrities in recent years issuing warnings about fake accounts and fraudulent booking agents operating in their names. Ronit Roy’s latest statement serves as another reminder to social media users to carefully verify their identities before engaging in online conversations or financial transactions.
