Exclusive: Rajesh Sharma recuperating at his residence after being discharged, ready to resume work
It is now learned that the actor has recently been discharged and is recuperating at his residence. In fact, he is completely ready to start work again. BN Tiwari, President of FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) tells us exclusively, “Rajesh Sharma ji has recently been discharged. He is currently recuperating at his residence in Mumbai. He is also scheduled to travel abroad to shoot for a project in the coming days.”
According to statements issued by actress Sudipta Chatterjee and filmmaker-producer Agnidev Chatterjee soon after the incident on July 8, Sharma was bitten by the insect while he was talking to local technicians near an area with dense vegetation. Since it did not seem serious, he did not seek immediate medical attention and took a flight to Kolkata from where he was scheduled to board a flight. However, he developed severe pain in his right leg, a high fever and increased anxiety. After this he was admitted to Manipal Hospital in the city.
A few days later, Sudipta Chatterjee said in a statement that the actor’s condition is better than before but he is still admitted in the hospital.
Soon after the news broke about Sharma’s health, Akshay Kumar shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) and expressed his concern for the actor. He shared a picture with Sharma and wrote, “Extremely concerned to hear about the health condition of my dear friend Rajesh after getting bitten by an insect during the shooting. Hope Mahadev blesses him with a speedy and complete recovery. Get well soon yaar, abhi saath ke baat haasna hai.”
