The stakes are high for the next face of the James Bond franchise led by Daniel Craig. While it was initially believed that Anthony Boyle, Callum Turner, Leo Suter, Harris Dickinson, Regé-Jean Page, or Idris Elba would play the Secret Service agent, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has recently emerged as not only a leading man but almost a confirmation. Although nothing has been announced yet, it appears that his role may already be in jeopardy after an over a decade old rumor took root on online communities. It stemmed from a 2012 post in which a co-star accused the actor of bullying her on a film set, and the star’s personality has now come under scrutiny.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s past experience with a Mexican actress causes trouble ahead of potential James Bond casting
Sandra Echeverria previously called out Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson for their behavior during a car scene on the set of the movie Savages. “We came in a truck (it looked like I was going to be kidnapped with my hands and legs tied in the trunk). Well, they thought it was weird to start the truck with a bang every now and then… for me to fly around and hit the speed of the van.”
She further claimed that with her hands and legs tied, she could not control what happened to her, and thus it was difficult for her to turn the truck, this caused her injury and angered her father, who was watching. He revealed how, later, the actor stepped in to apologise. “I decided not to say anything and stay, but I hated them. Two proud celebrities were able to do that. Some time later, at the premiere, Aaron came to apologize. At least he felt bad. Taylor couldn’t care less. Does that give you the power of Hollywood? I don’t know.”
Meanwhile, James Gunn has recently started following Aaron Taylor-Johnson, further fueling rumors of him being the new James Bond.
