Suriya starrer Karuppu is set to release on May 14, 2026. Directed by RJ Balaji, the upcoming fantasy actioner has unveiled its third single, Rathu Raasan, composed by Sai Abhyankar.
Karuppu third single: Rathu Rasan features Surya in God’s avatar
Taking to social media, Suriya Rathu Rasan shared the track. This peppy number has been written by Vivek, with voices sung by Sai Abhyankar, VM Mahalingam and Pal Dabba.
This peppy track features Suriya in a majestic, god-like avatar, which makes the third single even more energetic. Sharing the track, Suriya wrote, “Iniya Tamizh Puthandu Nalvalathukal dear all. (Happy Tamil New Year). Happy Baisakhi, Vishu, Bihu, Pohela Boisakh and Panna Sankranti.”

Apart from the lead actors, the film also stars Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sivadha, Anagha Maya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, Yogi Babu and many others in lead roles. Additionally, RJ Balaji will play a cameo role.
Earlier there were speculations that the film would release during Diwali 2025. However, the release was postponed due to pending post-production work.
Before Rathu Raasan, the Karuppu team had shared their second single Naama Naalu Peru, with vocals by Silambarasan TR.
Surya’s upcoming movies
Looking ahead, Suriya will next be seen in the lead role Vishwanath and SonsDirected by Venky Atluri. The film is said to be an emotionally driven romantic drama, starring Mamita Baiju in the co-lead role and Raveena Tandon in a pivotal role. It is scheduled to release on the big screen in July 2026.
The actor has also started work on his police action-comedy, tentatively titled Suriya47. Directed by Jeethu Madhavan, the film stars Nazriya Nazim in the co-lead role, while Naslane K Ghafoor plays a pivotal role. Furthermore, Avesham composer Sushin Shyam is handling the music.
Although not many details about the film have been revealed yet, there are rumors that STR may play a cameo role.
