After the success of Q1, Abundantia Entertainment announces 2026 slate led by Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor and Trupti Dimri

As the Indian entertainment industry struggles with increasing volatility and a demanding, screen-agnostic audience, Abundantia Entertainment has kicked off 2026 with a decisive statement of intent for the future. The studio founded and led by Vikram Malhotra has recorded two consecutive successes on Amazon Prime Video within the first quarter – Daldal, the Bhumi Pednekar-led thriller series, and Subedaris a spectacular action drama film directed by Anil Kapoor and directed by Suresh Triveni and now, the company has lined up a slate of exciting releases for the rest of the year, placing itself firmly among the most ambitious and diverse content pipelines in the country.

Abundantia’s slate spans both feature-length series and feature films, with titles slated for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and theaters – a distribution footprint that underscores Abundantia’s platform-agnostic philosophy and its strong belief in meeting audiences wherever they choose to engage with Abundantia’s brand of engaging and entertaining storytelling.

Beyond the immediate calendar, Abundantia is continually investing in the structure of what comes next. Under Abundancea’s dedicated artificial intelligence-powered content division ‘AION’, the company recently announced a strategic partnership with AI video technology firm InVideo to set up India’s first AI-powered film studio, based on a $10 million commitment between the two companies. The alliance will develop and produce five AI-based films over the next three years. The division has also collaborated with Collective Media Network’s Histoverse to co-produce Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternals, which is scheduled for worldwide release later in 2026.

Commenting on the momentum, Vikram Malhotra, Founder and CEO, Abundantia Entertainment, said: “Great stories do more than find audiences; they build sustainable businesses, and this has been our thesis from the beginning. Our investment in artificial intelligence through AION and partnerships with Netflix, Prime Video and InVideo, with a diverse slate in theaters, is a direct expression of that belief.

welcome the swamp and Subedar Sets the tone for everything that happens this year. Our incredible collaboration with the amazingly versatile Suresh Triveni has already seen two stellar performances in these titles and is set to reach its peak with the upcoming release of Maa Behen. I am equally excited about new collaborations with brilliant creators like Hansal Mehta, Pulkit and Rajesh Mapuskar, who are doing some fantastic work as Abundantia continues to strive to tell different and disruptive stories.
I am extremely excited about every chapter of the 2026 journey.”

Translating that ambition into a solid slate, Abundantia will make its debut at Netflix with two major projects – Mother Sister, a quirky comedy directed by Suresh Triveni, starring Madhuri Dixit, Trupti Dimri, Dharna Durga and Ravi Kishan; And Family Business, a powerful drama series directed by Hansal Mehta, starring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma in the lead roles. Additionally, on Prime Video, the studio will follow Sundar Poonam, a romantic thriller directed by Pulkit and starring Sanya Malhotra, which is currently in production.

The intrinsic power of a content engine operating at high capacity and a solid, strategic commitment to AI as the next frontier of filmmaking point Abundantia Entertainment to writing a uniquely powerful narrative for 2026 and beyond, in which industry disruption is not seen as an obstacle to be managed, but as the company’s natural operating environment.
