oh my dogThe upcoming film directed by Amit Rai has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with a U/A rating, though without any conditions. The board has asked the producers to make seven amendments to the film before releasing it in theatres.

What has CBFC indicated?
Among the changes ordered, references to brands including ‘Trucker’ and ‘Dettol’ have been muted, as is an expletive used in the film. A scene involving a dog has been shortened by two seconds, while the photo frame of Lord Hanuman visible in another scene has been blurred.
The board has also directed the team to add two disclaimers, one addressing child labour, as the topic features in the film’s story, and the other on human trafficking.
Rai describes the process as smooth this time
Speaking to Variety India about the certification, Rai said he was happy with how things went this time, calling the suggested cuts practical. He said, “I am very happy. They have given me the cut that is possible.”
This experience is in stark contrast to Rai’s last meeting. oh my god 2Which went through a much longer certification process. After about 85 revisions that film eventually received an A certificate, a call that excluded the younger audience it was originally aimed at.
A story based around a child and his dog
oh my dog Amit Rai is brought back in the director’s chair after a hiatus, the cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Pawan Malhotra, Mahie Rai, Rajesh Kumar and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma.
The film stars canine actors Oscar and Bruno, as well as a total of over 250 dogs, as it explores the bond between a young child and his pet.
In keeping with Rai’s well-known style, the film blends humor, emotion and social commentary. oh my dog It is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 31.
