Hours after initial reports suggested that veteran singer Asha Bhosle was hospitalized after a cardiac event, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle shared an update clarifying that the 92-year-old singer is currently undergoing treatment for extreme exhaustion and a chest infection.

In a message posted on social media, Zanai requested privacy for the family while confirming that treatment is ongoing and that they are optimistic about his recovery.
He wrote, “Hospitalized due to extreme tiredness and chest infection and we request you to respect our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything goes well and we will update you positively.”
This clarification comes shortly after prior reports about his hospitalization circulated, raising concerns among fans and members of the film and music industry. Zanai’s statement assured that the singer is under medical care and is being closely monitored.
Many members of the film fraternity reacted to the update with messages of support and prayers for his recovery.
