After a month-long social media hiatus, actor Babil Khan has returned to Instagram with a cryptic post that has fueled online conversation. The Black actor, who went offline earlier this year after a widely discussed emotional video, shared a series of photos from a photoshoot, paired with a reflective caption hinting at his personal struggles.

The caption reads, “Wasn’t meant to be heard, this glass house has thin walls. I wore my heart on my sleeve, now I have blood soaked T-shirts…”, continuing an introspective poem about healing, repression, and mental health.
The post drew immediate reactions from industry colleagues. Vijay Varma commented, “Babil, we got your support,” while Aparshakti Khurana wrote, “Bhai,” followed by a red heart. Actor Gulshan Devaiah also welcomed Babil’s return to the stage, saying, “Look who’s here”.
Babil’s comeback post comes almost five months after a video of him having an emotional breakdown in May 2025 went viral. In the now-deleted clip, she called some people from the industry, including Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, “so, so rude”, leading to widespread speculation about her mental health and experiences in Bollywood.
At the time, many assumed that the video was part of a promotional campaign for Babil’s then-released film log out On ZEE5. However, his team later clarified that the clip was “widely misinterpreted” and was not a criticism of Bollywood, but a misunderstood expression of admiration for his peers. His mother Sutapa Sikdar also issued a statement assuring fans that Babil is safe and that he is going through a difficult day.
Since the controversy, Babil has kept quiet and maintained a low profile – in his latest post he addresses for the first time, even indirectly, the emotional toll he alluded to months ago.
