Actor Babil Khan has started shooting for his Malayalam debut film. Gandhi Bazaar Sunday MarketDirected by Babu Janardhanan. The shooting is currently going on in Siliguri.

Talking about the project, Babil said, “Malayalam cinema has always had a very special place in my heart because of the honesty, sensitivity and emotional depth with which it tells stories. Shooting is about to begin.” Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market Living in Siliguri is incredibly exciting, emotionally and creatively gratifying for me.”
He said, “I have always wanted to be a part of stories that leave a lasting impact and challenge me to grow not only as an actor, but also as a person. Working with Babu sir and sharing screen space with such talented actors will be a great experience for me.”
Babil Khan started his acting career Black (2022) and has since appeared in friday night plan (2023) and web series railway man (2023). Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market This is his first project in a South Indian language.
Babu Janardhanan is a Malayalam film producer and screenwriter whose previous directorial work includes really (2006) and Bombay 12 March (2012).
The cast also features Aparna Balamurali, Deepak Parambol, Nikhil Nair, Johnny Antony, Jagadish, Sudhir Karamana, Athamiya, Unni Raja and Jaishankar. Produced by Gurukripa Productions, the film features music by Nandagopan V, cinematography by Fazil Nazar and editing by Suraj ES. Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market Scheduled for theatrical release on August 9, 2026.
