The wait for fans who have been eagerly waiting for one of the biggest sequels of 2026 – Border 2 is finally over! IHNS has exclusively learned that Varun Dhawan’s much-awaited first look from the patriotic drama will be released tomorrow, November 5. The team behind Border 2 is set to launch an aggressive promotional campaign with this strategic move.
A source close to the development reveals, “The makers have planned a good 2-month promotional campaign. The film caters to a huge pan-India crowd, and the timing coincides perfectly with the team’s plans to kick off the first phase of promotions this November. After Varun Dhawan, the Border 2 team will also release the first looks of Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty.” While the makers are yet to confirm details of Varun Dhawan’s role in Border 2, we hear that his character is largely inspired by Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya – the Param Vir Chakra awardee who was celebrated for his gallantry during the 1971 war.
Directed by Anurag Singh and written by JP Dutta’s daughter Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 marks the return of Sunny Deol to one of his most iconic cinematic legacies, and this time he also stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role. With the teaser release just around the corner and promotions set to begin in a big way, excitement is building for what is tipped to be one of the biggest war dramas of 2026.
