BREAKING: CBFC censors Dr Ambedkar scenes, mention of Vijay’s political party TVK in Jan Nayakan; ‘Om’ and ‘New India’ removed
To begin with, scenes of Dr. BR Ambedkar on the cover page of a book were asked to be modified. However, there is no change in the duration of the scene. Dialogue ‘Ambedkar Sattam…TVK Sattam’ Was asked to change. Additionally, the word ‘TVK’, which stands for Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, has been either muted or modified wherever it is used in the film.

Word ‘Siluvalia’ was muted, while the name ‘Sheela Rani’ was replaced wherever it was pronounced. Finally, scenes involving the burning of children were removed from two locations.
In total, 20 seconds of the film were censored. Once these changes were made, Jan Naygan It was passed with an ‘A’ certificate on 9 July. The length of the film as stated on the censor certificate is 183.21 minutes. In other words, Jan Naygan 3 hours, 3 minutes and 21 seconds long.
