Responding publicly, Celina said that her legal team at Karanjawala & Company has already given a formal response. She said, “Recently my estranged husband Peter and his father Wolfgang Haag have sent me two legal notices threatening to sue me for defamation. A reply has been suitably submitted through my legal representatives, Karanjawala & Co Advocates.”

The actress alleged that the notice was aimed at diverting attention from the issues she has raised with the authorities. “In my view, these notices are an attempt to divert attention from the police complaints, lookout notices, allegations of violence, documentary evidence before the competent authorities and those pending before the courts,” he wrote.

Celina also said that discussing her personal experiences and seeking legal remedies should not be considered defamatory. “Speaking about my life experiences and seeking legal recourse is not defamation,” she said. Referring to her family’s previous public appearances, the actress claimed that media visibility had been welcomed before. “For years, publicity involving our family was actively pursued, including Peter’s participation in magazine covers, interviews, articles about our children and me, as long as it suited his own interests.”

He further questioned why legal notices were issued when he began speaking publicly about his experiences. “So it is ironic that when I started speaking out about my experiences, legal battles, concerns as a mother and my search for justice, I received legal notices instead of replies.” The actress stressed her relationship with her children and said that they are at the center of her ongoing legal battle. “These are my children too. I am their mother and that is why I am continuing this fight.”

Selena said she has consistently supported joint custody and an amicable divorce. However, she claimed that despite court orders, she is unable to contact her children. “I have consistently advocated for joint custody and an amicable divorce. Yet despite court orders, I remain without contact with my children simply because I have decided to fight for my rights.”

According to Selina, her public appeal stemmed from concerns about the whereabouts of her children and their possible transfer outside the jurisdiction of Austrian and Indian courts. “As a mother with joint custody, I believe it is both my right and responsibility to raise those concerns,” she said.

The actress further alleged that she faced pressure and threats during her stay in Austria and claimed that efforts were being made to silence her. “What seems to bother some people is not that I have spoken, but that I have refused to remain silent.”

Concluding her statement, Celina said she would continue to pursue legal remedies and expressed confidence in the judicial systems of both countries. “I will not be afraid to speak about my experiences or demand the legal remedies available to me. I am fighting with evidence and I have full confidence in the judicial systems of India and Austria.”

The dispute remains the subject of ongoing legal proceedings, with both sides presenting different versions of the matter.
