Dacoit: A Love Story on OTT
After generating massive online buzz following its theatrical release, Dacoit: A Love Story is finally hitting OTT on May 8, 2026. Reports suggest that Netflix has secured the digital rights of the film in a deal worth several crores of rupees. Hence, the film is expected to stream on popular digital platforms in the next few days.
Since it is a pan-India film, it will reportedly be available in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, making it accessible to a wide audience.
The action film got the audience talking with its intense trailers and the refreshing pairing of Adivi Shesh and Mrunal Thakur. However, it faced ups and downs at the box office.
Dacoit: A Love Story follows the gritty journey of Hari (played by Adivi Shesh), who tries to get redemption and revenge from his ex-girlfriend Saraswati/Juliet (played by Mrunal Thakur) after a serious betrayal.
The film also features a powerhouse supporting cast including Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, Indukuri Sunil Verma, Zain Marie Khan, Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Jhansi, Zarina Wahab and others.
While Shesh played the lead role in the film, he also wrote the screenplay with debutant director Shenil Dev, with the additional screenplay written by Karthikeya Kalakota. Directed by Supriya Yarlagadda under Annapurna Studios, Dacoit was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.
