Representing Salman Khan, lawyer Nizam Pasha informed the court that a promotional poster released on May 29 featured a character with a strong resemblance to the actor. He said the man in the poster was also shown wearing a bracelet similar to the one widely associated with Khan. According to the lawyer, the film allegedly violates the Delhi High Court order dated December 11, 2025, which protected the personality rights of the actor.

During the proceedings, Pasha reiterated that the project was a violation of an earlier judicial order protecting Khan’s identity and related characteristics. The court was further informed that though the makers have not officially announced the release date of the film, its trailer was launched on Friday, whereas it was earlier indicated that it would be unveiled on June 20.

Referring to the legal issues related to the blackbuck poaching case, Pasha told the court that these cases were still pending. He said that four FIRs were registered in connection with the case, Khan had already been acquitted in three of them, while a special leave petition (SLP) in the remaining case was pending without any operative order being passed. The lawyer argued that the filmmakers were attempting to make commercial gains from Khan’s identity and sought a stay on the film’s release.

When the court sought clarification about the release plans of the film, Khan’s legal team said that no official release date has been announced by the makers.

In his petition, the actor claimed that the promotional material of the film contained explicit references to him. The application states that the character shown in promotional material closely resembles Khan and is seen wearing a bracelet that is instantly recognizable as one of her most distinctive personal identifiers.

Khan has said that the unauthorized use of his likeness, image and identifiable characteristics is a violation of his personality rights and legal protections.
