Ranveer Singh shot an explosion scene near 500 liters of petrol, recalls SFX supervisor
In a recent candid chat with IHNS’s Hindi Rush, the film’s SFX supervisor, Vishal Tyagi, elaborated on a high-octane climax sequence that left the entire team breathless, involving a huge amount of fuel.
According to Tyagi, the approach to completion was clear; It had to look interesting. In this scene Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal come face to face. Since there were two superstars in the scene, it was high-risk. Vishal told that Aditya told him that he did not want to use CGI, especially for the explosions.
He further added, “The last one, the tanker blast, was the toughest. It had the biggest safety concern. (The last blast was the toughest. It was the biggest safety concern.) Imagine 500 liters of petrol. All the pieces were real in that blast. Ranveer was walking nearby, and I had to make sure that the flames did not reach Ranveer.”

The SFX supervisor also shared that even though Arjun was in the scene, he was removed before filming the explosion due to safety concerns. After the explosive scene, Ranveer praised the team and said, “Faad diya tune.”
