Exclusive: CBFC censors ‘Kantara Cheekh’ in Rahu Ketu; replaces the middle finger with the pinky finger
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has passed the film with a U/A 16+ certificate. However, he asked the producers for some changes. A dialogue was replaced in a scene. The drug sniffing and sniffing scenes were asked to be replaced with suitable shots wherever they occurred in the film. The middle finger was said to be changed to a pinky finger whenever shown in the film. All alcohol brand names were asked to be removed.
Not only this. The producers were asked to submit a certification letter for the Sanskrit shlokas used in the film. Finally, the investigating committee asked the producers to ‘change theKantara Film Music (VOOM) Scream’.
Once these changes have been made, the creators of Rahu Ketu The censor certificate was handed over on Monday, 12 January. The length of the film mentioned on the certificate is 139.40 minutes. In other words, Rahu Ketu is 2 hours, 19 minutes and 40 seconds long.
Rahu Ketu Backed by Zee Studios and B-Live Productions Pvt Ltd and produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Suraj Singh and Varsha Kukreja. It marks the comeback of Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma after their successful collaboration Fukre series. Interestingly, Vipul Vig, who was the author of Fukre (2013), Fukrey Returns (2017) and fukre 3 (2023), made his directorial debut with Rahu Ketu.
