Vikram Bhatt won gold medal haunted 3d (2011). This is a film which started the trend of 3D in Bollywood and proved to be a huge hit at the box office. Hence, there are high expectations from the next film in this franchise, which is scheduled to release on June 12. Interestingly, the film was earlier titled Haunted – Ghosts of the past. As per the motion poster released yesterday to announce the release date, the name of the film was changed to Haunted – Echoes of the Past. Had a special conversation with director Vikram Bhatt on this aspect. This was probably the director’s first interaction with the media after facing a major personal upheaval in his life.

Vikram Bhatt told”The haunt Movies aren’t just about ghosts. At its core, it is a touching love story. Meanwhile, due to some reason or the other the film was getting delayed and I also had to face jail sentence. A very close friend of mine said that perhaps this is happening because of the word ‘ghost’ in the title. He told me, ‘The title remove the ghost from me to do’. I said to him, ‘Ok. removes (Smile)’. This is how we came to be echoes of the past”
He further added, “I never believed in such things until now. Besides, you can’t make a ghost film without believing in superstition (laughs).”
The use of AI in the motion poster was criticized by a section of the audience. Vikram Bhatt clarified, “This is how motion posters are designed. But I can assure you that there is no AI in the film at all.”
Finally when he was asked when the teaser would come Haunted – Echoes of the Past “We are planning to release it this month itself,” he revealed.
Like haunt, Haunted – Echoes of the Past It also stars Mimoh Chakraborty and this time he is joined by Chetna Pandey, Shruti Prakash, Gaurav Bajpayee, Praneet Bhatt and Hemant Pandey. It is produced by Anand Pandit and Rakesh Juneja and will be distributed worldwide by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.
