A source told IHNS“It marks the much-awaited return of Shoojit Sircar to the realms of comedy. The acclaimed filmmaker, known for bringing warmth, wit and sharp observations to films like Vicky Donor And PikuNow stepping into a completely new territory with his first mytho humor entertainer.
The project has started making noise in the industry for all the right reasons. “A huge, elaborate set is being constructed,” the source said Sardar UdhamNational Award Winning Production Designer, Mansi Dhruv Mehta. Inspired by a key chapter of the Mahabharata, the world being created blends mythology with a contemporary and satirical take.”
The stellar ensemble is further adding to the excitement. The source said, “It is known that Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao are a part of the film. The film team has now welcomed Saurabh Shukla and Vineet Kumar Singh to the cast. Both the actors, known for their versatility and their command over comedy and drama, are expected to bring a new dynamic to this inventive retelling.”
Produced by Rising Sun Films and Kino Works and backed by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, the film is currently in full-scale pre-production with set construction underway. The project is scheduled to begin operation in early 2026.
