creator of I am your friend has officially announced a new release date for the upcoming entertainment. The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit the theaters on May 22, will now hit the theaters on July 31, 2026.

The announcement was made through the film’s official social media handles along with a new promotional poster. Sharing the update, the makers wrote, “New release date. Same excitement: Tera Yaar Hoon Main now releasing on 31st July 2026!”

Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the film stars Akanksha Sharma in the lead role alongside debutant Aman Inder Kumar. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal also plays an important role.

According to the manufacturers, I am your friend It is designed as an all-round commercial entertainer with a blend of romance, comedy, action, friendship and music. The film aims to present an emotional yet entertaining story that connects with audiences across age groups.

The official notes accompanying the release date announcement described the film as “a beautifully crafted heartfelt story of friendship and music”. It further added that the project “promises a captivating journey that transcends generations.”
