Learn about Kalki 2898 AD
The story of Kalki in 2898 AD begins at the end of the Kurukshetra War of the Mahabharata, marking the beginning of the Kali Yuga in 3102 BC. After the war, Ashwatthama is entrusted by Lord Krishna to protect the last avatar of Lord Vishnu when the time is right.
6,000 years later, in 2898 AD, the world has become a harsh, dystopian world, ruled by fear and ruled by a self-proclaimed god known as the Supreme Yaskin. While most people strive to please him in hopes of gaining access to his bountiful lands called the Compound, others rebel against his tyranny.
Just as all hope seems to be fading, a new light emerges in the form of an unborn child in SUM-80, aka Sumathi. As Yaskin and his followers prepare to extract the child’s life source, an epic story unfolds, setting the stage for the rest of the saga.
Starring Prabhas in the lead, the first installment also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan as co-leads.
