Name: Jolly LLB 3
Director: Subhash Kapoor
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Seema Biswas, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor
Writer: Subhash Kapoor
Note: 3.5 / 5
Jolly LLB 3 does not waste time attracting viewers to the reality of land disputes in India, in particular with farmers. The film opens with a heartbreaking note while farmer Rajaram takes his life after losing his land due to the project “ Bikaner to Boston ” led by the ruthless businessman Haribhai Khaitan (Gajraj Rao). His widow, Jankki (Seema Biswas), decides to retaliate by depositing a petition, triggering a clash in the courtroom between small town lawyers, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, against a high -level defender Vikram (Ram Kapoor).
The 2 best parts of Jolly LLB 3 is the way she balances humor and serious moments without ever feeling exaggerated. The 28-minute courtroom stage in the second half has only managed to hold the interest with the meeting sequence for the Valentine’s Day dinner brilliantly placed FT Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and Surabh Shukla. Another highlight is that Kumar, Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla keep effortless the essence of the franchise alive; He never feels forced. What also marked me were the small detailed scenes that carry deep emotions and a meaning, which many could have missed. For example, a powerful moment ago when Akshay Kumar wipes the tikka from his forehead before choosing to drink alcohol, subtly showing his inner conflict.
The subject is heavy and the film drowns in its own gravity but carefully published with comedy scenes. Satirical punches and signing jokes between Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, taking up their highly appreciated roles, land effectively. Seema Biswas, like Janaki, is crucial in Jolly LLB 3. Less dialogues, and only facial expressions and silences are a large part of the work.
What works for Jolly LLB 3: A drama from the net satirical courtroom, Jolly LLB 3 keeps you committed for its 2 hour and 37 -minute running. The animated exchanges between the two lawyers and the judge constantly receiving Tripathi, played by Saurabh Shukla, provide stable impulse, even if certain scenes extend longer than they should. What emerges the most are the performance. They are neither exaggerated nor too retained, concluding a working balance. While the first trio of Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and Sarabh Shukla are fantastic in their respective roles, Gajraj Rao and Ram Kapoor also leave an impact like the negative forces of the film. Another thing that works well is background music. It remains subtle, never interrupting history or not going beyond dialogues, which is important in an audience drama.
Which does not work for Jolly LLB 3: From the edition point of view, Jolly LLB 3 could have benefited from a tighter pace in the first half. If these were cut, the story would have evolved faster and would have struck stronger. Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi barely have a role to play. The film had the scope of more comical moments, especially in the first half.
Verdict: The first half could have been tighter, but its mixture of biting humor, engaging in the hearing battle and nostalgia to see the original cast made from Jolly LLB 3 an entertaining stroll at the end. It is a return of OG Akshay Kumar after a very long period. It may not innovate, but manufacturers manage to invest you, largely thanks to its distribution. Akshay Kumar as “Jolly N ° 2” is based in the story rather than eclipse – and it is surprisingly the strength of the film.
