Kantara CHAPTER 1 BOX-Office collections: Strong with 259cr on extended weekend in India

Kantara: Chapter 1 had a fabulous Sunday at the Indian box office, collecting Rs. 73 crores (approximately). The four-day prolonged weekend totaled Rs. 259 Core (approximately). Sunday, which was the fourth day of the film, ended higher than its opening day, which is an extreme rarity for an exit from Tentpole from southern India. Here, even more because the opening day was a big national holiday and included Wednesday overviews.

The collections of the day box office for Kantara: Chapter 1 in India are as follows:

Day Raw
THURSDAY RS. 70.50 cr.
Friday RS. 51.50 cr.
SATURDAY RS. 64.50 cr.
Sunday RS. 72.50 cr.

Total RS. 259.00 CR

The film scored the biggest four-day weekend in Karnataka, breaking the previous KGF 2 record. The record came despite the film below KGF 2 and was Rs. 4 Core below after the first two days. However, the film not only committed the gap, but it went with a Sunday which reports near Rs. 20 Core, 15% more than KGF 2. This trend increases well for the film’s prospects to become the biggest largest in the State, a record currently held by the original Kantara.

Other southern states have also experienced superb performance in collections and trends. The only disappointment for the film was the opening of the Hindi version, but even it went well this weekend, and Sunday, the collections can be very well qualified. If the film can maintain a strong performance during the week, it could end up with a very good final number, whose chances are quite high.

The territorial break for Kantara: Chapter 1 is as follows:

Area Raw
Karnataka RS. 76.00 cr.
Fit RS. 52.00 cr.
Tamil Nadu RS. 25.25 cr.
Kerala RS. 23.00 cr.
Rest of India RS. 82.75 cr.

INDIA RS. 259.00 cr.
