Kantara: Chapter 1 should be released in theaters on October 2, 2025, exploring the origins of legend and folklore that surrounds it. Now the mythological drama of action should also strike international screens simultaneously.
Kantara: Chapter 1 strikes screens worldwide with a massive distribution
According to manufacturers, Kantara: Chapter 1 will be released in more than 30 countries, making it a Pan-Mondorld release.
The team has announced that the film will be released in key international markets, including the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwian, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaisia among others.
After the massive success of the first episode, the prequel takes the saga to a brand new scale.

Kantara: Chapter 1 would have turned around the old lost traditions of the Tulu region in Karnataka. The film will deepen the traditions of the Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva deities, creating a thematic connection to the first episode.
While the original film has just explored a simple overview of Panjurli Daiva’s facets, the prequel should offer a more detailed story and would be a unique experience in Indian cinema.
Located in the pre -colonial coastal karnataka, the film is presented to be the exploration of a man in the connected experiences of nature and the divinity under the rule of the Kadambas of Banavasi. This was initially teasing as the background of the ancestral conflict in Kantara (2022).
With Rishab Shetty with the main role, the film is directed by the actor himself. Apart from him, Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah are confirmed to play co-chefs, actor Malayalam Jayaram also expected to play a key role.
The project is supported by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner of Hombale Films. Like B. Ajaneesh Loknath makes up musical tracks and the background, Arvind Kashyap manages cinematography.
As the film is now less than a month from the release, it will reach large screens in several languages, notably Kannada, Malayalam, Tamoul, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali and English.
