Nagarjuna Akkineni is finally stepping into the production of his 100th film, tentatively titled King100. The film, directed by Ra Karthik of Made in Korea fame, will see him reunite with his former co-star Tabu on the big screen after 28 years.

Tabu shared a picture from the sets on her official social media handle king100. In the image the film’s clapboard was placed over a black leather sofa, fit for a king.
While sharing the post, the actress wrote, “And we start with King100.”
From initial reports, Puneet Nagarjuna was rumored to be reuniting with Akkineni after many years. The pair previously appeared together on screen in the 1995 film Sisindri, where they played a small role. The comedy film was produced by Nagarjuna and directed by Shiva Nageswara Rao.
The film was inspired by the American film Baby’s Day Out and marked the debut of Akhil Akkineni, who played the role of a child.
In 1996, the actors appeared together in the romantic family drama Ninne Peladatta, written and directed by Krishna Vamsi. The film was a huge hit and received many accolades.
They were last seen together in Aavida Maa Aavide, a comedy film that also co-starred Heera Rajagopal. Despite a strong opening, the film had an average performance at the box office.
Speaking about King100, Nagarjuna in an interview described the film as a “completely commercial” entertainer. The film is expected to focus on the father-daughter relationship. There are also reports suggesting that de-aging techniques may be used to portray him at various ages ranging from 25 to 60 years old.
Although not many details have been revealed about King100 yet, there are rumors that Aishwarya Rajesh may play an important role. Apart from this, Sushmita Bhatt and Vijayendra are also expected to be seen in lead roles.
