Nora Fatehi criticizes trolls after appealing for world peace amid US-Iran tension
Earlier this week, Fatehi posted a video message on Instagram encouraging unity, compassion and peace as global unrest continues to make headlines. He assured fans that he is currently safe in India and expressed concern over the anxiety many people are facing due to the repeated clashes and disturbing scenes from the region. However, his message drew an unexpected reaction on social media, with some users misinterpreting his call for peace or criticizing his involvement in a geopolitical issue. In response, Fatehi posted a follow-up video on March 3, where he defended his stance and addressed his critics directly.
In the video, he said that people have “lost touch with the skills of understanding and the skills of listening” and urged critics to think more deeply before responding. He emphasized that his message about peace and unity is for everyone regardless of nationality, religion or background, “If you speak against anarchy and want people to live in peace, and if you have a problem with it, then you need to check yourself morally, there is something wrong with you.”
Fatehi also reflected on how exhausting and disturbing it is to see constant conflict and chaos around the world, sharing that during her personal reflection, just before breaking her fast, she was struck by how many people become angry even at the call for peace. Despite the criticism, the actor said advocating peace should not be controversial and reiterated his commitment to speak about unity and compassion in turbulent times.
Fatehi was recently seen in the film Thamma With a special performance in the song “Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka” and is set to appear in the upcoming Kannada action drama KD: Devil
