What works for Param Sunday
Param Sundari shines in its vibrant presentation. The songs, in particular Pardesiya and Danger, are catchy and beautifully woven in the story. The cinematography is impressive. Lush greenery and serene waters make each frame a visual treat. Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor are beautiful together. Some windy scenes, especially in the first half, bring light pleasure. Manjot Singh effortlessly brings the comic relief of the film. The film’s attempt to revive the classic Rom-Com atmosphere for which Bollywood is known is well intentioned.
What doesn’t work for Param Sunday
Despite its charm, Param Sunday stumbles with a bland and basic plot. The Northern Mets-South Trope feels exaggerated, based strongly on clichés such as cultural stereotypes and predictable misunderstandings. The false declaration of different cultures, often feels shocking.
History lacks new conflicts. The scenario lacks cum and spark which is necessary to raise the story. Familiar novelists are recycled without adding depth. Although the first half is somewhat windy, but hollow, the post-interval portions slide. The culmination does not surprise you or it arouses you.
Performances in Param Sunday
Sidharth Malhotra, as a param, brings his signature charisma and appearance, effortlessly embodying the charm of Delhi Boy. However, its performance lacks depth. Janvi Kapoor, like Sundari, is decent. It shines in lighter moments. In addition, she looks beautiful in elegant saris. Manjot Singh, as Jaggi, steals the show with his comic timing, giving laughter that keeps the film afloat.
Sanjay Kapoor as a param father is underused. The actor of the Inayat Verma child adds a young spark. Other supporters of support, such as Renji Panicker and Siddhartha Shankar, do well with their roles, adding a certain sincerity to the film.
Final verdict of param Sunday
Param Sundari is a beautiful body without a soul. It is an attractive Rom-Com visually with catchy songs, breathtaking places and a charming lead pair, but it fails due to a bland scenario and a lack of fresh conflicts. The stereotypical shots and representations, combined with a second -handed second, make it a strictly decent watch.
Param Sundari now plays in theaters. Stay listening to IHNS for more of these criticisms.
