When and where to look for pharma
Pharma is scheduled to release on OTT platform JioHotstar and will start streaming from December 19, 2025. The makers announced this through a social media post.
Sharing the trailer, the makers wrote, “Presenting the official trailer of #HotstarSpecials Pharma, streaming from 19th December only on JioHotstar in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali & Marathi.”

Pharma tells the story of KP Vinod, a young medical sales representative who is still learning how to work in a highly competitive industry. At first, Vinod struggled to convince doctors and hospitals to buy his company’s latest medicine. However, he eventually succeeds in selling a new drug called KydoXin, and soon becomes a star employee in his organization.
Things change when he later discovers that the drug is causing serious side effects on patients, leaving him racked with guilt. With the central question of consumer awareness at stake, Vinod decides to stand up against powerful corporate entities, and questions whether he will be able to correct the mistakes he has made.

Pharma stars Nivin Pauly in the lead role, along with Rajit Kapoor, Narayan, Veena Nandakumar, Shruti Ramachandran, Muthumani, Alekh Kapoor and many other actors in important roles.
The show is said to be based on several real-life incidents and cases from the pharmaceutical industry. Written and directed by PR Arun, the series features music tracks composed by Loca fame Jake Bejoy. Abhinandan Ramanujam handles the cinematography, while Srijit Sarang serves as the editor.
