PHOTOS: Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt welcome first child, here’s how his name Scotty Rose honors his dad

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have announced the birth of their first child. On December 18 (local time), the comedian and his girlfriend took to their Instagram account to share the good news with their fans. With photos of her baby that appeared to have been taken at the hospital, and yet hidden behind white heart emojis, she introduced the world to Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson.

The name Scotty appears to be in honor of the actor’s father, Scott Davidson, who was a firefighter and died at the very young age of 33 on September 11, 2001.

The post also stars Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt in some photos taken with their little girl. The first showed them all bundled up together in a snowy field, holding their baby in their arms. In the following images mom is enjoying sweet time with her baby, and dad is kissing his girlfriend right after giving birth. Scotty made another adorable appearance by holding on to his mom’s little finger with all his might, his little hands encased in a bow-onesie.

The new father was also seen breastfeeding his daughter, completely engrossed in the moment. Due to how small she is, parents can be seen comparing her size to everything around them, including pregnancy time charts. From late night ice cream to forehead kisses, the two were thoroughly enjoying the newborn experience.

In July, PEOPLE reported that Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt were expecting their first child, which they later confirmed by sharing pregnancy photos with the world. “Pete and Elsie are doing great, and they’re both very excited about becoming parents,” a source shared at the time.
