In the latest episode of Maan’s butt on Sunday, September 28, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a moment to honor two iconic voices of Indian music- Manga Mangeshkar and Zubeen Garg. The tribute took place on the occasion of Lata Didi’s 96th birth anniversary and after the untimely demise of Zubine Garg shortly thereafter.

Speaking about India’s legendary Knightingale, PM Modi said, “Today Lata Mangeshkar’s birth anniversary is … His songs include everything that shakes human emotions. Patriot songs inspired people inspired people. He also had a deep connection with Indian culture.” He also recalled his praise for Veer Savarkar, stating, “Veer Savarkar is one of the great personalities who inspired Lata Didi, whom he called ‘Tatya’. He sang many songs of Veer Savarkar in his voice.”
Sharing personal memories, the Prime Minister revealed a long -standing bond with the singer, saying, “My bond of affection with Lata Didi has always been intact. She used to send me a rakhi every year without failure. Sudhir Phadke told me that I loved her in a great personality of Marathi smooth music.
PM Modi also remembered Zubine Garg, called him “Kohinoor of Assamese Culture”. He reflected the impact of the singer, saying, “Celebrating the birth centenary of Bhupen Hazarika among Assam, a few days ago, a moment of sadness will also come down. To captivate the coming generations.”
The 52 -year -old singer died recently in a scuba diving accident, leaving fans and music fraternities in shock.
