A new development has come to light in this case stalwart Earlier this month, reports of an FIR being filed against production designer Saini S Johare over sexual harassment allegations surfaced.

According to a report published by Mid-Day, the woman who accused Johre had also filed a complaint with the production house B62 Studios, owned by filmmaker Aditya Dhar and producer Lokesh Dhar. The complaint was reportedly submitted in October 2025, after which the studio’s Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) committee launched an internal investigation into the matter.
“Given the sensitivity of the matter and the production house’s zero-tolerance policy towards harassment, the POSH committee conducted a thorough investigation,” a source quoted by the publication said.
The report further states that the investigation lasted for about six months and ended in late March or early April this year. According to the source, the committee reportedly found Johre guilty in two cases.
“It was a six-month investigation that ended in late March-April. He was found guilty on two counts – sexual harassment and tampering with evidence. The committee informed the complainant about the findings,” the source told the publication.
The allegations against Johre became public when a woman from New Delhi reportedly filed a complaint at Chandigarh’s Sector-17 police station on April 20. According to a report in India Today, the complainant accused Johar of calling her to a room at the Taj Hotel in Chandigarh, where he sexually assaulted her, physically assaulted her and kept her falsely confined.
The report further claimed that the woman alleged that some intoxicant was mixed in her drink, which worsened her condition.
After preliminary investigation, Chandigarh Police registered a case under sections 74, 79, 123 and 126 (2) of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS). Johre was later arrested in connection with the case before being granted bail by the district court.
The controversy has also reportedly affected Johar’s professional credits in ongoing and upcoming projects. Reports say that while his name initially appeared in the OTT version stalwartIt was removed from the ‘Raw and Undekha’ version released on the streaming platform on 22 May.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter India reports that Yash Raj Films has also decided to remove Johre’s credit from its upcoming web series Akka starring Keerthy Suresh, Radhika Apte and Tanvi Azmi.
