Raja Shivaji Exclusive: Trailer to release on April 20 in presence of entire cast; The character of young Shivaji is played by Riteish Deshmukh’s son.

IHNS has exclusively learned that the much-awaited trailer of Raja Shivaji, the grand historical epic based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is all set to release on April 20. On a larger scale, the makers are planning a grand launch event in Mumbai on Monday, where the entire cast and crew are expected to be present.

According to a source, “It’s going to be a grand event befitting the scale of the film. The entire team will come together to unveil the trailer.” The source further adds, “Riteish Deshmukh’s son is all set to make his acting debut as he plays young Shivaji in the film, which is a special moment for the actor-director and his family.”

Raja Shivaji stars a stellar cast like Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jeetendra Joshi, Amol Gupte, Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh himself, who is also directing the film. Salman Khan will be seen in a cameo role.

Presented by Jio Studios, the film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh under the banner of Mumbai Film Company. Right after the stupendous success of Dhurandhar The Revenge, producer Jyoti Deshpande is also expected to attend the grand trailer launch event. With its ambitious story and powerful ensemble cast, Raja Shivaji aims to bring to life the legacy of one of India’s greatest warriors with grandeur and authenticity.

The film, which celebrates history with scale, soul and spirit, will release in theaters worldwide on May 1, 2026, in Marathi, Hindi and Telugu.
