Rajpal Yadav loan case: Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan, David Dhawan and others provided financial assistance
In an exclusive chat with The Indian Express, Rajpal Yadav’s manager Goldie confirmed that many members of the film fraternity have come forward to support the actor during this difficult period.
Talking about the response from the industry, Goldie said, “A lot of people have come forward to help Rajpal Yadav. Actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan have extended their support. I had called David Dhawan – he also reached out. Ratan Nain, Varun Dhawan… Many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has greatly appreciated.”
Although he refrained from commenting on whether the actor had sought help before surrendering, Goldie acknowledged the collective support from the film industry.
“I wouldn’t like to comment on that,” he said. “The good thing is that after their situation got worse, the industry has stood behind them like a rock – and that should be appreciated. Everyone has made commitments, but transactions like this don’t happen overnight.”
Earlier, many celebrities had publicly announced financial help for Rajpal Yadav. These included Sonu Sood, Guru Randhawa, Gurumeet Choudhary, KRK and music director Rao Inderjit Yadav.
Goldie also shared an update on Rajpal Yadav’s legal proceedings, expressing hope about his possible release.
“We have scheduled his bail hearing for tomorrow, and we are hopeful that he will be granted bail and released. The bail application has already been filed. We will be able to share more information after the hearing tomorrow.”
He further added, “Mentally, the family has to remain strong. Rajpal Bhai himself is very strong, and that strength runs in the family. There are many functions at home as well, family functions at the end of February. Everyone wants Rajpal Bhai to be out by then. Hopefully, he is out by tomorrow.”
The reaction of the Mumbai film fraternity and the upcoming bail hearing now depends on how the situation will be in the coming days.
