However, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has now strongly dismissed such speculations, calling the reports baseless and reiterating that the ambitious superhero project is progressing smoothly.
Rakesh Roshan dismisses reports of Hrithik Roshan-YRF budget clash over Krrish 4: “No problem”
Over the past few months, industry buzz suggested that Hrithik Roshan, who is set to make his directorial debut krrish 4The film was aspired to be released on a large scale with world-class visual effects and action sequences. The report further claims that while Hrithik had envisioned a budget of around Rs 500 crore, Yash Raj Films preferred to keep the production cost closer to Rs 350 crore to ensure commercial viability.
Addressing these rumours, Rakesh Roshan told Mid-Day, “It’s all nonsense that Hrithik has asked for a budget of Rs 500 crore for top-tier VFX and world-class action for his directorial debut, while YRF wants to keep the cost at Rs 350 crore. It takes time to make a good film for a (wide) audience. Even I have taken time for every film of mine.” Krish Offering.”
The filmmaker also shed light on why the much-awaited superhero sequel has not gone on floors yet, despite being announced some time ago. According to him, the delay has more to do with scheduling than any creative or financial differences. “Krish He’s on another planet and we’re all waiting for his dates,” joked Rakesh Roshan, referring to Hrithik’s busy professional commitments.
He further clarified that there is no problem between the stakeholders involved in the project. He said, “There is no problem; everything is smooth. It is teamwork between Adi, Hrithik and me.”

However, the film eventually took a new direction, with Hrithik Roshan taking over the director’s chair. The upcoming installment is being jointly backed by Rakesh Roshan’s Filmcraft and Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films.
While Rakesh Roshan avoided sharing a definite timeline for the production, he revealed that the script has almost been finalized and the makers are hoping to start filming by the end of the year. He concluded, “I will update you when everything is ready.”
