Ranveer Singh’s top 10 openings at the box office: Dhurandhar takes the top spot, followed by Simmba and Gully Boy

Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar has made its way to the big screen and has received a good response. It is estimated that the film has earned Rs 24 crore at the box office on the first day, making it the actor’s biggest opener so far at the Hindi box office. However, this has been helped by the huge amount of bookings, and on the real front, this could be their fifth best.

With this debut, it looks like the actor has managed to break the record of his previous blockbuster Simmba, which released in 2018. The Rohit Shetty directorial opened with a collection of Rs 20.76 crore, becoming his previous highest opening. However, with Dhurandhar emerging on top, the action-comedy film has now slipped to the second position.

Additionally, the 2019 film Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar, has earned Rs 19.26 crore on its first day at the box office, making it its third highest opening day.

After the top three films, Padmaavat, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, is at the fourth position with earnings of Rs 18.21 crore.

At the fifth position in the list is the 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, which is estimated to have collected Rs 14.91 crore on its first day. After these films, Ranveer’s top openers include Gunday, Bajirao Mastani, 83, Befikre and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

However, one must keep in mind that the actual opening number of Dhurandhar could be around Rs 17 crore due to possible block bookings done by the makers.
