Netflix has announced KartavyaA new crime drama starring Saif Ali Khan and Rasika Duggal as part of its Next on Netflix India 2026 slate. The platform also shared the first glimpse of the project, which marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two actors.

Located in the heart of India, Kartavya It follows a police officer who finds himself at a moral crossroads when his family’s safety is jeopardized. As external pressures increase and danger approaches, the story examines how far one man is willing to go to uphold his duty, overcoming personal loss, fear, and truth.
Manufacturers described Kartavya As a story based on the interrelationships of law, family and responsibility. This is said to be his second collaboration with Netflix and director Pulkit eaterThe team said the project reflects their shared intention to tell emotionally connected grounded stories. He highlighted Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of a morally complex police officer, and described the character as layered and intense, made of difficult choices rather than clear absolutes.
Directed and written by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Kartavya It features a strong supporting cast including Sanjay Mishra, Saurabh Dwivedi, Zakir Hussain and Manish Chaudhary.
The addition of Rasika Duggal to the cast has attracted attention, pairing two actors who are known for their subtle screen presence.
