On Friday, Salman Khan shared an old photo with Ghuman on his X (formerly Twitter) account to condole the loss and wrote in the caption: “Rest in peace Pvt. Will miss Paaji.” In the picture, both are seen smiling on the set DabanggIn which Salman is seen in his famous police uniform with the tag “Chulbul Pandey” and Ghuman is giving a thumbs up.
Saddened by this news, actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh also expressed his condolences by posting Ghuman’s picture on his Instagram stories. Meanwhile, Varinder’s manager Yadvinder Singh revealed that the late actor had sought treatment at a private hospital following shoulder pain before suffering a fatal heart attack. According to his nephew Amanjot Singh Ghumman, Varinder was receiving medical care when his condition suddenly worsened.
Ghuman had a successful career in bodybuilding and acting. He won the Mister India title in 2009 and stood second in the Mister Asia competition. Expressing grief in the political circles of Punjab too, former Deputy Chief Minister and MP Sukjinder Singh Randhawa wrote on Instagram, “My heart is deeply saddened to hear the news of the sudden demise of Punjab’s famous bodybuilder and actor Virendra Singh Ghuman ji… May Waheguru ji rest his soul at your feet and give the family the strength to bear this tragic shock…”
The news of Varinder Singh Ghuman’s untimely death has shocked the film and fitness communities, with friends, fans and colleagues mourning his life cut too short.
