According to a report in Variety India, director Umesh Bist, who directed the original film, is also returning for the sequel. The filmmaker is expected to take the story forward with a fresh narrative approach while retaining the emotional and humorous tone that made the first installment a standout.
At present it is not clear paglat 2 2021 will either directly continue the events of the film or explore a fresh story involving similar themes and characters. However, hopefully the sequel will retain the distinctive blend of wit, sadness, family drama and soul-discovery that resonated with audiences in the original release.
The sequel is likely to begin production around August or September 2026. No official release date has been announced yet.
