Earlier in the year, there were reports that Aamir Khan is teaming up with debutant director Rahul Modi for a film based on the life of controversial start-up king, Ashneer Grover. This news spread like wildfire, sparking all kinds of conversations in the digital world. Soon after, it was revealed that Shraddha Kapoor will play the lead role in the film opposite Aamir and it will go on floors in March 2027, after Aamir completes shooting for a period-drama with Ashutosh Gowariker.

But the latest we learned is that Aamir Khan has decided to opt out of Ashneer Grover’s film due to creative differences. A source told IHNS, “Aamir is fascinated by the world of start-ups, and was keen to get into this space with Ashneer Grover’s biopic. He took note of the script and developed it to the best of his knowledge. But eventually, he had creative differences with Rahul Modi, which led to their parting ways.”
The source also revealed that Rahul Modi and Shraddha Kapoor are however committed to making the film. The source further told us, “The real-life duo is now trying to recreate the film, and is looking for a relatively young name to play the role of Ashneer Grover. Talks are on with two – three top names, and the cast is expected to be finalized soon.”
The film will be produced by Shraddha Kapoor with a major studio and the actress will also play the lead role of Ashneer’s wife in the film.
