A source told IHNS“The film in question will be directed by Sandeep Modi, who has made his mark with acclaimed shows like Arya and The Night Manager. He, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar were all set to make a war film. However, that film did not materialize due to various reasons. Kartik and Sandeep had formed a bond and promised to work together in the future if the right script came along.”
This war drama was announced in November 2023 on Kartik Aryan’s birthday. It was scheduled to begin shooting in 2024 and release on August 15, 2025.
The source further added, “Finally, earlier this year, Sandeep Modi pitched the idea of an entertainer to Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar. The two were quite impressed with the subject and decided to come on board as actors and producers respectively.”
Although not much is known about the film, the source said that it is not the war saga that Sandeep was initially planning to make or a new version of it.
