Selena Gomez Wants 4 Kids With Benny Blanco, Reveals Family Stone Connection: ‘If We’re Only Able to Have One…’

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco haven’t stopped being everyone’s dream couple after their star-studded wedding in 2025, but the pair haven’t been able to achieve their long-felt desires – becoming parents. During a recent appearance on the second episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, hosted by music producer Benny Blanco and his friend Lil Dicky (real name Dave Byrd), Selena Gomez talked about her family planning with her husband.

Selena Gomez has expressed her desire to have four children

Speaking to Lil Dicky and his wife Kristin Bataluco, who are split on the number of kids they want, with him wanting a maximum of two and her wanting three, the Can’t Keep My Hands to Myself singer shared that she has big plans, “I want four, but that’s over.” Sharing how she came to this number after seeing a scene starring Diane Keaton in The Family Stone, she said, “One day on my dinner table, when I’m her age, I want to see that dinner table.” While watching this scene, the singer was reminded of her maternal grandfather and described how the entire film was ‘sweet and touching’ as well as ‘sad’.

She knows that in the end her hopes may just end up as wishful thinking, “Whatever happens, happens. If we’re only able to have one, then no one else. I hope… we never know. But my dream was definitely the scene where they’re all at the dinner table and they’re just with their partners or their significant others or kids or single and it’s like this beautiful cast of characters.” And also joked about how ‘crazy’ it will be until her kids become adults.

Both have repeatedly expressed their desire to have children of their own one day with Benny Blanco stating that he is very happy being an uncle and would love to share the experience as a father as well. Meanwhile, the two got married on September 27, 2025, in the presence of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Mark Ronson, Paul Rudd, and their Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.
