first look poster of Dada – The Sourav Ganguly StoryThe Rajkummar Rao starrer was unveiled today on the occasion of Sourav Ganguly’s birthday. The makers also announced that the biopic will release in theaters on May 14, 2027, an extended holiday weekend.
Sourav Ganguly praised Rajkummar Rao in the first look of Dada, thanked the fans for the birthday wishes.
Ganguly shared a video on social media thanking fans for their birthday wishes and praised Rajkummar Rao for his role in the film. He said, “Thank you all for these warm birthday wishes. It makes me feel so humbled year after year that I receive so much love and affection from so many people across the country and the world.”
She further added, “Today marks the launch of the first look of my biopic. Rajkumar, I think he has done an incredible job and it makes it even more special because it reminds me of the 2002 NatWest final and the Lord’s balcony, which has been recreated by Rajkumar and the cast and crew of my biopic. So once again thank you very much for my birthday wishes and as I said it makes me feel incredibly humbled every year.”
Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story It chronicles the journey of a man who not only played the game but changed it, rising from a young cricketer to becoming one of India’s most influential captains.
The film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series and DBL. It is a Luv Films production and will release in theaters worldwide on May 14, 2027.
