Tere Ishq Mein approx Rs. Preparing to collect Rs. 15 crores in its second weekend. Earning of Rs 6 crore is coming on second Sunday. The romantic drama starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in lead roles collected 10-day theatrical collection of Rs. Earning Rs 92.75 crore at the Indian box office. The film did very well despite the new release Dhurandhar this weekend.
The film is sure to reach Rs 20 crore. 100 crore mark, which is expected to be completed possibly by second Tuesday or Wednesday. How far it can go from there will depend on how it performs going forward. The film will emerge as a sure clean hit venture after entering the three-figure box office club.
Although the film received mixed responses among the audience, it was still successful in attracting its target audience. The best thing working in favor of Tere Ishq Mein was its chartbuster music and strong performances. Raanjhanaa’s hangover also helped to some extent.
The box office successes of musical romance dramas- Syara, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and Tere Ishq Mein prove that music cannot be underestimated in the Hindi film industry. The decline in business in the last decade or so can largely be attributed to the decline in the quality of music.
